Meet Jennifer Hogan

I became a social worker because I believe in people. I believe in their capacity to change, to heal, and to grow, even in the most complex and painful circumstances. That belief has taken me across Australia, into some of the most challenging and meaningful practice environments in our sector, and it is the foundation of everything I do.

Over the past 15 years I have worked at the intersection of health, trauma, child protection, domestic and family violence, and sexual assault, across remote communities in the Northern Territory, statutory child protection in Queensland and Victoria, government policy reform, and program management within NSW Health. Alongside direct practice, I have held leadership and management roles that have deepened my understanding of what it takes to sustain values driven work under pressure.

Through all of it, one thing has remained constant: the power of a good supervisory relationship to transform not just practice, but practitioners.

I have extensive experience delivering both individual and group supervision across a range of settings and career stages. I have supervised newly qualified practitioners finding their feet, experienced clinicians navigating complexity, and practitioners stepping into leadership. I have facilitated group supervision that builds genuine community of practice, where shared reflection creates something greater than any individual session could. Supervision is not something I do on the side. It is a core part of who I am as a practitioner and leader.
